Overview
Qeswachaka is the only one of its kind made with vegetable fibers, part of the extensive network of the Inca Trail. Recognizing the technology used in the tradition of the last surviving bridge between ancient and modern times, which requires hard work 3 days to replace the structure, the floor is made of 4 large ropes (under which the small logs of wood) the railings are 2 additional ropes and both elements (floor and railings) are linked by hundreds of smaller ropes.
Itinerary
We leave Cusco early around 4:30 a.m. and we go to the South Valley of Cusco and through some small traditional towns, our first stop will be the town of Combata to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Immediately afterward we start our journey to the old Inca bridge, on the way we will be able to appreciate the scenic beauty of the area.
Our first stop will be to visit the “baby” volcano and the Yanaoca Pass. Later, approaching Q’eswachaka (3,600 meters), we will descend a series of zigzags that will take us to the valley of the Apurimac River with the ancestral bridge slowly coming into view. We will have a lot of time to get to know this attraction, the Apurimac canyon; It is also an excellent place to model and take photos with the traditional poncho and the chullo that you have bought in Cusco.
In the afternoon, we will depart from the Inca Bridge of Qeswachaka and we will go to Combapata where we will have a comforting Lunch, later we will go to the Circuit of the 4 lagoons each with a characteristic that makes them unique,
