Overview
In southeastern Peru is located one of the new seven wonders called Machu Picchu, Mistical place wating to get visited. With beautiful scenery along the train route passing through big Mountains and a lot of vegetation. This option is perfect for people who don’t want to do long hiking or when traveling with their family.
Itinerary:
DAY 1
We will pick you up from your hotel at the appointed time to transport you to the train station of Poroy – Cusco. After arriving at the station we will take the train that will transport us to the town of Aguas Calientes. During the journey, we can see the stunning scenery with picturesque villages. Slowly, we will admire the beautiful landscape and the interesting vegetation of the area. Arriving in Aguas Calientes, we will head to our hotel to take a little break and then have lunch and enjoy the local cuisine. In the afternoon you can enjoy the famous hot springs of Aguas Calientes. At night we will enjoy a delicious dinner and then we will go to our rooms to rest and replenish our energies for our visit to Machu Picchu the following day.
DAY 2
Very early in the morning after breakfast, we will head to the bus station. There we will take the shuttle to the citadel of Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas, undoubtedly one of the most amazing urban creations of the Incan heyday. In Machu Picchu, we will have a guided tour for approximately 2 to 3 hours. After the tour, we will climb Huayna Picchu mountain*. From there we will enjoy the splendor of Machu Picchu and the surrounding landscape, the exotic tranquility of the lost city of the Incas. Finally, you will need some time to explore the citadel. Afterward, we will catch the bus in the direction of the town of Aguas Calientes (2040 m.a.s.l). In this town, you will be able to have some time to grab lunch and later on in the afternoon we will take the train to return, Expedition Train
Upon arrival in Cusco, you will be transferred to your hotel. End of the adventure.
Note Important: To climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain, there is a limit of 400 people per day, we recommend booking in advance.
